First the guitarist, then the bassist, and now the drummer. The Strokes’ side-projects are the gifts that just keep on giving.

The Strokes’ drummer Fabrizio Moretti is the latest, erm, Stroke to unveil details of a side-project - Little Joy.

The band is also made up of Moretti’s girlfriend, Binki Shapiro, and Brazilian singer songwriter Rodrigo Amarante.

A self-titled debut album, produced by Noah Georgeson, will be released in the US on November 4, following a six-date tour of the US, though no UK dates are scheduled as yet.

Little Joy are named after their famous neighbourhood bar in Echo Park, Los Angeles.

Since the release of The Strokes’ third album, ‘First Impressions Of Earth’, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr and bassist Nikolai Fraiture have too carried out side-projects, while singer Julian Casablancas recently featured in a one-off tune with Santogold for Converse.
