The Police And Clapton For Hyde Park

Rock vets The Police and Eric Clapton have been announced as headliners of this year's Hard Rock Calling open air gigs.
Held in Hyde Park on June 28 and 29, the 2008 Hard Rock concerts will mark Eric Clapton's first headlining gig at the open air location for over a decade. The former Yardbird and Cream plankspanker will be supported by former squeeze Sheryl Crow and John Mayer when he plays on Saturday June 28.
The reformed Police will cap the planet-shagging success of their world tour by headlining on Sunday 29 and will be joined by KT Tunstall and Starsailor.
Tickets for the shows - priced £50 for Saturday and £65 for Sunday or £110 for both dates - are on sale from 9am Friday February 1 and can be purchased from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop here.
Early bird tickets will on sale from 9am tomorrow (January 29) at the Live Nation website.
