Xfm is pleased to announce that Ray Davies will be taking over The Xfm Residency during the month of July. The Kinks frontman and acclaimed solo artist will be hosting an hour's worth of his favourite songs every Sunday from 9am.

Speaking to Xfm Manchester's Clint Boon, Davies admitted, "It's the first steady job I've had. It's been difficult to pick stuff to cover just four hours, but I've mixed it up a bit. I've picked some soundtaracks, garage songs... people that have inspired me. It was a pretty rapid process - a first draft."
