Ronnie Wood claims the band may be playing some shows next year...

Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood has been fuelling rumours that the band could play Glastonbury next year.

Speaking at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards, the guitarist revealed the band are getting on well and there's a chance of some gigs in 2010. "It’s all very good," he told the BBC. "I saw Mick and Charlie ast week. Everything is great."

The 62-year-old picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the London ceremony last night.

Meanwhile, others stars honoured at the London ceremony last night included Iggy Pop, who earned a "Living Legend" award, Cream's Ginger Baker was named the Classic Rock Innovator and the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham was given the Tommy Vance Inspiration Award.

Iron Maiden were Band Of The Year, AC/DC were given Best Album for 'Black Ice', while Black Sabbath's reissues and the Anvil movie were also honoured.

  1. Hi Groucho. The phrase "fuelling rumours" would appear to be the key phrase here. And what's wrong with a bit of harmless speculation? That's part of the fun of Glastonbury! Lighten up!

  2. Excuse me, but at what part of this article says anything to suggest rumours that the Stones are playing Glasto 2010? I'll tell you....nothing. Completely tenuous. A nothing story about nothing.
