Morrissey Cancels Another Show

added 13 May 2009 at 10.22

The Mozfather is still ill (pun intended), so tonight's Birmingham gig is off...

After calling off Monday's Royal Albert Hall show, Morrissey has had to cancel another date on his current UK tour. The former Smiths uberlord was due to play Birmingham's Symphony Hall tonight (May 13), but illness has caused yet another no-show. As with the RAH date, it's expected that the concert will be rescheduled, so ticket holders are advised to await further instructions from Moz Central.

The unspecified poorliness has also put paid to Steven Patrick's appearance on this week's 'Later With Jools Holland' TV show, which was recorded last night (May 12). Ironically, his spot was taken by singer Daniel Merriweather, who performed on Mark Ronson's cover of the Smiths classic, 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before'.
