Maximo Park are to hold a series of events on Monday May 11 in their hometown of Newcastle to mark the release of their latest album, 'Quicken The Heart'.

Events get underway at 6pm with a question and answer session, followed by a signing at the HMV store in the city. Wristbands will be available on a first come-first served basis from the shop from 8.30am. It's one wristband per person, people, but if you can't be there, you can submit questions via the band's MySpace page.

This will be followed by a special album launch party at the Star And Shadow Cinema, which will feature a screening of the new documentary 'Monument', followed by a set from the 'Park themselves.

120 wristbands will be available from RPM Records in Newcastle on Saturday 9th May.  They are £3 each and strictly one per person and on a first come first served basis.
