The metal gods are producing some "deluxe" editions...

Pioneering Heavy Metal legends Black Sabbath are set to release a quintet of remastered, repackaged albums this September.

The masterworks of Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tommy Iommi and Bill Ward are to be given a full deluxe treatment with a whole host of extras in digipack format – including new packaging designs and new liner notes.

This means a whole new audience can enjoy the dark sounds that inspired an entire generation of musicians and rockers, such as ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’ and ‘Symptom Of The universe”.

The Albums to be released are “Vol 4” (1972), “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” (1973), “Sabotage” (1975), “Technical Ecstasy” (1976) and “Never Say Die!” (1978).

The five deluxe editions are due out September 21.
