Barat: "I Wouldn't Rule Out A Libertines Reunion"

The Dirty Pretty Thing even hints that next year might be THAT year...
Carl Barat has been dropping tantalising hints about a possible Libertines reunion - a rumour that's gained strength after he, Peter Doherty and Gary Powell joined forces for a special tribute to the late musician and promoter Johnny Sedassy in London last Saturday (May 16).
"I can't rule it out, but I'd rather save it," he told the NME. "That's not to say I won't get on stage with Pete at some point soon."
Barat claims that the rest of 2009 is to be spent finishing a solo album, but that 2010 may be a different matter. "Next year is a new year. We'll see what happens."

i think that pete is doing really well in his band babyshambles and his solo work, and he is going to be BIG i think that Carl's band dirty pretty things were not a patch on babyshambles (having seen both ) and obviously they cant have been doing that well or they wouldn't of split, pete is a lot more passionate about babyshambles than Carl ever was..Carl knows if the libertines reform he will have all that back, plus he would earn a huge amount of money!! Carl needs pete, pete doesn't need carl! and i sooooooooooo hope they unite and set sail on the Arcadian dream they started long ago xxx
