"Serious Illness" Forces The Long Blondes Off The Road

Sheffield's The Long Blondes have been forced to curtail all planned live activity after guitarist Darren Cox was rushed to hospital. As a result, the band have had to cancel their appearance at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
According to a statement from The Long Blondes, Cox is currently in a Sheffield hospital "in a serious condition". The statement reads:
"On 9th June, Dorian was rushed to hospital after falling ill, and he is still in hospital in Sheffield in a serious condition. Because of this we will regrettably be canceling all our live appearances until the end of July. Dorian is improving slowly and we will keep you updated on his condition. If you would like to leave a message on myspace, facebook, or through the website, we would be glad to pass them on to him when we visit.
Feel better soon Dors.

In addition to cancelling their scheduled Glastonbury performance, The Long Blondes have been forced to pull out from a prestigious support slot with Duran Duran.
All at Xfm wish Dorian a speedy recovery.
