added 25 August 2005 at 08.11

The Coral aired a selection of tracks from their new album 'The Invisible Invasion' last night (May 19)as they exploded back onto the live circuit with an exclusive Jameson Irish Whisky session for a handful of Xfm competition winners.

The Coral continued our unbroken run of Jameson Xfm Live Sessions this year (including The Streets, The Thrills, The Music, Kasabian, Athlete, Ash, Keane and more recently, Idlewild) as they thrilled a selection Xfm competition winners last night at a packed London's Islington Academy with over an hour of hits and tracks from their forthcoming LP.

Arriving on stage around 9pm, the band launched straight into new track 'She Sings In The Morning' before igniting the venue with recent back catalogue hits 'Bill McCai', 'Goodbye' and 'Simon Diamond'

In a set that included ‘Don't Think You're The First', 'Pass It On', ‘Dreaming Of You' and new tracks 'The Operator', 'Come Home' and recent single 'In The Morning' the band showcased their new beefed-up 7-piece line-up. Closing with a final 'Calendars & Clocks', the band returned to encore with 'Skeleton Key', 'Shadows Fall' and new track 'Arabian Sand'.

The next Live Session in association with Jameson Whisky will taking place on Wedensday June 8 and once again the Islington Academy will play host to another exclusive session, this time from ex-Suede stars The Tears. Tickets will only be available from Xfm so listen out on air or online in the coming weeks for a chance to be at this very special performance.

The Coral are set to play a number of festivals this summer including Glastonbury (June 24-26), T In The Park (July 9-10) and The Carling Weekender (August 26-28).
