General Election 2005

As you probably know, it's the General Election on Thursday 5th May. Xfm really urges you to get out and vote - and we also urge you to be an informed voter. Here's a few links if you need some help deciding where to put your own X.
Channel 4 has a great rundown of all the parties' manifestos: click here.
The BBC site has some handy tools, particularly the one where you type in your
postcocde and it'll let you know who's standing in your constituency. There
are also links to the websites of the different political parties: click here.
If you want to know what your own MP has been up to since the last election,
and whether you'd like them to carry on doing it or not, this site - They Work
For You - has records of how they've voted on all the issues, what speeches
they've made and loads of other stuff: click here.
This is the website of the Electoral Commission, for general info about how
and why your should vote: click here.
A few hundred votes could decide this one. You can make a difference.
Xfm has always believed that staying at home is not a valid form of protest.
