Led Zeppelin Manager Says: ‘It’s Over’

Contrary to reports yesterday, Peter Mensch has said that the remaining members of Led Zeppelin will not record or tour. What a difference 24 hours makes, eh?
We’ve had a few ‘will-they, won’t they’s’ over the last couple of months – The Smiths, Blur, Guns N’ Roses – but this is quickly taking the biscuit. A mere twenty four hours after reports surfaced that Led Zeppelin would tour and record without singer Robert Plant, the band’s manager has now announced that there are no plans to do either.
Speaking to website MusicRadar.com yesterday, Jimmy Page’s manager Peter Mensch said,
"They tried out a few singers, but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it."
So that’s it, then. There’s no more led Zeppelin. But check back in twenty four hours… you never now, right Peter?
"Led Zeppelin are over! If you didn't see them in 2007, you missed them. It's done. I can't be any clearer than that."
Fair enough… but what do you think? Should they have called it quits? Let us know…

I think they've made the right decision. You can't compromise when you're talking about a successor to Robert Plant. Having said that, when I read this I was thinking "what if they just tried out a few more vocalists though.."

No Plant = No Zepplin , it's really as easy as that. Who would want to see anyone else?
